So you’re interested in joining the Record, eh? Think you can handle it, eh? Think you’ve “got” what it “takes” to “write ‘comedy,’” “eh?”"” Well let me tell you, kid, I’ve been around the block a few times and it ain’t all punctuation and rhetoricism! What? Who’re you calling a hypocrite, you little punk?! Why, I oughta:

• Make you a staff writer if you submit three written pieces in the style of the magazine;
• Make you a staff artist if you draw three illustrations in the style of the magazine;
• Make a you a staff designer if you lay out three articles in the style of the magazine;
• Make you a member of the business staff if you’re capable of basic speech and motor functions;
• Give you free pizza every week at our meetings on Mondays at 9PM in WLH 112.

Writing comedy may be tough–and it is tough, way tougher than most of you young smart-alecks–but joining up and trying your hand is easy. No matter what level of experience or sense of humor you’ve got there’s a place for you–unless you hate to laugh.
